Boston launches new complaint iPhone app

The City of Boston has embarked on a brave new path that makes it easier for people to complain to the city about pot holes, graffiti or anything else they want the city to fix.

Boston has launched Citizens Connect, a new iPhone app that allows anyone to make a complaint to the city with the touch of the key.

Residents can simply snap a photo with their iPhone and include the address of the location, which automatically embeds into the picture. Theoretically, the complaint goes straight to city hall and to work crews around the city.

Red dots mark the problem area on a map on the iPhone. When the problem has been rectified, the red dot turns to green.

Some might wonder if this new feature could backfire on the city and lead to even more complaints if grievances are not addressed as soon as resident thinks they should be.
