The Hilton Empire

One of the premier hospitality empires in the world is the Hilton Hotels Corporation, which specializes in high-end lodging. Some of the most successful hotel brands fall under the Hilton namesake.

Hilton Hotels are the respected legacies of Conrad Hilton, who built his first hotel in 1919. Since then the Hilton name has reigned supreme in the hotel industry.

Placing premiums on comfort and elegance all at once, the Hilton Hotels is the collective name for a portfolio of the hospitality industry’s biggest names. The corporation’s assets are scattered in over 80 countries worldwide, which include awesome destination resorts and even airport hotels.

Hilton facilities include 1,000 luxurious four-star hotels, a number unmatched in the world. It also has the most convention facilities among its hospitality establishments. The company has a plethora of holdings. These include Hilton, The Waldorf-Astoria Collection, Conrad, Doubletree, Embassy Suites Hotels, Hampton Inn, Hampton Inn & Suites, Hilton Garden Inn, Hilton Grand Vacations, and Homewood Suites — all first-class accommodations. There are 2,800 of these all across the globe.

The company caters to all kinds of tourists; it has downright luxury, extended stay, or mid-priced offerings. The upscale to those who are traveling on a budget can always find a good night’s rest in any of Hilton’s hotels. One can easily reserve an accommodation today using Hilton’s centralized reservation system, which went online since 2005.

Crowning the Hilton line of hotels is the flagship Hilton Hotel brand itself. There are 500 Hilton hotels, in all continents except Antarctica. Every Hilton hotel is a full-service accommodation.

Since the Waldorf-Astoria became Conrad Hilton’s property in 1949, the founder of the Hilton Hotels has never stopped making it the place to be. As a result the Waldorf-Astoria accommodations are considered to be most luxurious hotels and resorts. The line includes the Grand Wailea Resort Hotel, Arizona Biltmore Resort, La Quinta Resort, Qasr Al Sharq, etc.

Living up to their name, Conrad Hotels evoke the full-moneyed chic of its founder.

Embassy Suites Hotels pride themselves in airy atriums stretching as two-room suites. At every Embassy Suite, guests can enjoy a plethora of amenities like the fast Internet connection the line offers.

The company’s Hampton line of accommodations boasts of Cloud Nine, the hotel’s preeminent bed experience. Nowhere else could one find the softest and fluffiest pillows.

Ranked highest among extended stay hotels, Homewood Suites are Hilton all-suite hotels fashioned as residential structures. They are designed for upscale travelers who plan to check in for, at the very least, five nights.

Doubletree is also another luxury accommodation in the Hilton line of businesses. The Hilton Garden Inn hotels offer mid-scale focused service offerings, while Hampton Inns offer mid-scale full service.

There are two destination resorts, including the famous Hilton Hawaiian Village and Pointe Hilton Resorts.

There are also nearly forty airport hotels.

Exclusive to participating subscribers, the Hilton Grand Vacations Club automatically enters members into its Hilton HHonors system. This is a promo that allows its seventeen million members to accumulate both frequent flier miles and room accommodations. Membership to the HGVC entitles one to enjoy access to 3,000 resorts. These are apart from the company’s vacation ownership locations in New York City, Hawaii, Orlando, and Las Vegas.

All Hilton Hotels subsidiaries are equipped with novel feats of engineering that are security-oriented. These take the form of check-in kiosks.

Hilton is headed by Christopher J. Nassetta, who had been the former Chief Operating Officer of Host Marriott hotels since 1997.

Before getting employed by Host, Nassetta presided over Bailey Realty Corporation until 1995. Mr. Nassetta also created Bailey Capital Corporation in 1991.
