Poll: More than half shopping for themselves on Black Friday
According to a poll from Consumer Reports, 66 percent of Black Friday shoppers, the shopping frenzy day after Thanksgiving, will be buying for themselves.
The report says that while 28 percent of adults plan to shop in-stores that day, about 29 percent will also shop the two days after Black Friday.
The most popular items on Black Friday are clothing (71 percent), electronics (70 percent, and video games and accessories (both 46 percent).
“The inner-shopper comes out in all of us around this time of year,” said Tod Marks, Consumer Reports senior editor and resident shopping expert. “Retailers are doing everything they can to entice shoppers by offering not only Black Friday bargains but deals for the entire weekend.”
