Sex for 101 Days

Douglas Brown, a Denver Post feature writer, recently released his book, Just Do It: How One Couple Turned Off the TV and Turned On Their Sex Lives for 101 Days (No Excuses!). Available in hardcover and e-book formats, the book is published by the Crown Publishing Group.

Just Do It is a biographical and autobiographical-relationships book since its contents are basically based on the experiences of the author and his wife. The book contains 320 pages that would leave the readers laughing their hearts out and at the same time gaining insight about so many things in their marriage, such as how to keep one’s marriage alive while managing your kids, work, and other stuff.

In the book, the author narrates how he and his wife, Annie, went about having sex for 101 consecutive days. That means over three months of sexual intercourse regardless of whether one of them was sick or dead tired from work. It was, as the couple named it, a “sexathon.” The author also included how they performed their sex marathon in different places as well as engaging themselves in activities that would help invigorate their sexual experiment.

The book transcends the typical ideas of achieving sexual pleasure in a marriage; it also speaks about enhancing intimacy in your marriage through simple yet meaningful gestures of love.

Just Do It has earned pretty good reviews from several book critics and enthusiasts. Barton Goldsmith, Ph.D., MFT, and author of Emotional Fitness for Couples, describes the book as appealing to both sexes and applicable to any age. Michael Harris, Ph.D., on the other hand, requires his clients to grab a copy of this must-read book. Harry Fisch, MD, describes the book as touching, fantastic and very funny.
