He has a BA degree from Virginia Tech and holds a doctorate title from the University of Virginia. Andersen gathered his extensive experience in real estate and recently came out with a book called Retire Rich from Real Estate which includes anecdotes taken from several real-life experiences.
Published by Sphinx Publishing, this 240-page book gives readers several insights on how one can, over time, convert a real estate property into a valuable investment to ensure a comfortable retirement.
Well-researched and easy-to-follow, Andersen’s book imparts useful information about choosing prime investments based on demographics, picking out properties for long-term investments, evaluating operating expenses, and calculating cash flows. He uses simple techniques which effectively teach readers how to properly manage their properties.
One critic said that Andersen’s work is good because it does not make him sound like a get-rich-quick seminar speaker. The book does not provide get-rich-quick schemes and fantasies; rather, it provides a realistic view on the requirements needed to succeed in the real estate market.
The author’s 20-year experience is evident in most parts of the book.
Another critic admired the way Andersen presented the information in a thorough and simple step-by-step manner. The book is full of excellent insider tips that guide readers who plan to buy, hold, or sell their rental property.
Some of the tips given in the book deal with how to establish a good working relationship with real estate agents, how to choose the best properties, and which financing scheme or strategy will work best.
